Why simulate a job interview before the real thing?
A job interview is not something you can wing. Recruiters assess in minutes how clearly you communicate, how you handle pressure, and how well you structure your ideas, all skills that require deliberate practice. Candidates who rehearse consistently report 40% better outcomes compared to those who walk in unprepared.
According to a LinkedIn study, 85% of recruiters rank verbal communication as the top criterion in a first interview, above technical skills. Yet most candidates never run a single mock interview before the big day: they arrive with good ideas but struggle to articulate them clearly under pressure.
A good interview simulator prepares you across several dimensions: behavioral questions (STAR method), motivation questions (why this role, why this company), technical questions specific to your field, and curveball questions on weaknesses, departures, and ambitions. Practicing each category helps you build confident, natural, and impactful answers.
Our AI interview simulator generates personalized questions based on your resume and target role, then instantly analyzes your responses. In under 30 seconds per question, you get feedback on structure, vocabulary, and confidence level, with concrete recommendations to sharpen your delivery. No sign-up required.
What is a mock interview simulation?
A mock interview is a practice interview built from your resume and the role you are targeting, with the questions that role actually invites. It is not a generic question list: two candidates against two different adverts do not get the same interview.
The value of a simulation is not in the questions, which are largely predictable, but in the performance. Saying an answer out loud is a different exercise from having it in mind, and that gap is exactly what shows in a real interview: hesitations, answers that run long, examples with no ending.
A structured interview escalates. The recruiter opens with easy questions to settle the conversation, moves to intermediate questions about your background, then to hard questions about failures, expectations or weak spots. The simulator builds a plan across those three levels.
Every question comes with answer leads drawn from your own resume — the parts of your own background it would be relevant to reach for. You are not handed an answer to recite, but the material you should have retrieved under pressure.
How the simulator builds your interview
The plan is built from the two documents you upload, then run question by question.
- Reading the resume
Your roles, durations and transitions. These drive the questions about your background, including the ones you would rather avoid.
- Reading the advert
The advert's mandatory skills, which become the technical questions in the plan.
- Three-level plan
Easy, intermediate and hard questions, in the order a recruiter asks them.
- Answer leads
For each question, the parts of your own background that answer it. Preparation help, not a script.
- Spoken answers
You answer out loud. Going through the voice is the part of the exercise that most resembles the real thing.
The three levels of interview question
Introduce yourself, motivation, knowledge of the company. They do not separate candidates, but they set the tone and a limp answer costs you later.
Your background, achievements and methods. This is where the STAR method — Situation, Task, Action, Result — separates an anecdote from a proof.
Failures, disagreements, quiet periods, salary expectations. Few candidates prepare them, and they are the ones that decide.
An interview is not decided by the question you answer best, but by the one you answer worst.
